Since 2003 my blog [jks] has been hosted by TypePad, an online hosting service. TypePad takes care of the hosting, does all the backend server stuff and basically takes everything but the writing out of blogging. I'd looked at other options over they years, from free services like Vox and Blogger to actually hosting my own site through someone like GoDaddy. This year when my year of service ran out with TypePad I decided to make the switch to Squarespace, a similar type of hosted service that's been constantly advertised on various TWiT podcasts such as Macbreak Weekly.
With the MacBreak Weekly coupon code Squarespace is a little bit cheaper for the year, and apparently once I get the hang of it I'll be glad for the increased functionality. I'm still trying to figure things out, but all of my different blogs will be moving over to the service over the next week.
The good news is that there's not going to be any new urls to learn. Everything should be transferring over including my domain names. However there may be the odd hiccup as the transfer goes through. If you're having trouble getting through just be patient and try again later.
